Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and created by Mattman and Robin. The melody was discharged on February 27, 2016 by Republic Records. The melody serves as the second single for Steinfeld's presentation expanded play, Haiz (2015), after "Love Myself". 

In the weeks before the Haiz's discharge, "Damnation Nos and Headphones" was being touted as the accumulation's second single, however "You're Such A" was chosen. Be that as it may, it was scrapped for the new form of "Rock Bottom", highlighting the American funk pop band DNCE.
