It eventually peaked at number 2, continuing Kesha's string of top-10 singles. The single has also reached the top 10 in many countries worldwide, including most of the anglosphere and has taked a platinum certification in 5 countries.
In December 2012, the single was removed from some radio stations in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
