Reik is a Mexican band from Mexicali, Baja California
shaped by Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas (lead vocals), Julio Ramírez Eguía
(guitar/foundation vocals), and Gilberto Marín
Espinoza (guitar). The gathering's
name really signifies "rake" (as in raking the guitar's strings),
however the band needed their Mexican audience members to profess it
accurately, thus, Reik.
In 2003, Abelardo Vazquez finished their
then-incipient musical venture, likely called "Reik". Abelardo
Vazquez welcomed Jesús Navarro and Julio Ramirez to record their first demos,
which were discharged through the Mexican underground club scene. Two of the
best demos — "Levemente" and "Ahora Sin Ti" — brought more
boundless scope crosswise over Mexico. In mid 2004, Reik welcomed Gilberto to
join the band. They have been well known from that point forward, predominantly
in Latin America, Mexico, and the United States. Their recordings have been
telecast on renowned music TV slots, for example, MTV and HTV. Their second
studio collection, Secuencia, was discharged on December 12, 2006, which
included the principal single, "Invierno" (discharged on September
18), which picked up a great deal of ubiquity based Latin American airplay. On
September 30, 2008 Reik discharged their third studio collection Un Día Más,
for which they won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group
with Vocals in 2009.
Reik affirmed their cooperation in the Viña del Mar
International Song Festival in February 2015, and won the Silver and Golden
Seagull after their presentation.
